Core Extrusion Machine
Twin-Screw Food Extruder Machine
The core processing machine for cooking, shaping and expanding snacks, breakfast cereal, dry pet food, aquatic feed and nutrition powder. ZEKO selects the screw, die, cutter and downstream equipment around your formula, final product and real output target.
Three decisions define the right twin-screw food extruder.
Select a Twin-Screw Food Extruder Around the Product
The same extruder platform can support different applications, but the configuration must follow the approved product and factory process.

ZEKO Twin-Screw Extruder Model Selection
The correct platform is selected by final product, formula, required output and downstream equipment rather than model number alone.
| ZEKO platform | Typical project position |
|---|---|
| Laboratory twin-screw extruder | Formula trials, product development and small-batch testing |
| ZK-65 | Small commercial production and entry-level complete lines |
| ZK-70 | Medium-output continuous food extrusion projects |
| ZK-75 | Specialty and higher-output projects requiring a different screw and drive platform |
| ZK-85 | Medium-to-large continuous production lines |
| ZK-95 | Large continuous production projects |
One extruder model can produce different outputs when making snacks, breakfast cereals, pet food, aquatic feed or nutrition powder. ZEKO confirms reference capacity only after reviewing the formula, product shape, density, moisture and downstream dryer load.
Extruder Scope, Materials and Utilities
The extruder can be supplied as a stand-alone machine or matched with upstream and downstream equipment for a complete line.
- Feeding system
- Drive motor and gearbox
- Twin-screw processing section
- Barrel heating and temperature control
- Die and shaping system
- Cutting system
- Electrical control cabinet
Twin-Screw Food Extruder Machine FAQ
Practical answers about configuration, capacity, utilities and quotation planning.
Which ZEKO twin-screw extruder models are available?
The current model family includes a laboratory twin-screw extruder and ZK-65, ZK-70, ZK-75, ZK-85 and ZK-95 industrial platforms.
Why is there no single capacity for each extruder model?
Output changes with the final product, formula, die shape, expansion ratio, density, moisture and downstream dryer load. Capacity is therefore confirmed for the actual application.
When should a twin-screw extruder be used?
Twin-screw extrusion is normally used for directly expanded snacks, breakfast cereals, dry pet food, aquatic feed and processed cereal or nutrition products.
When is a single-screw extruder used?
ZEKO mainly uses a single-screw forming machine for pellet products that are shaped first and expanded later by frying. It does not provide the same direct expansion process as a twin-screw extruder.
Can the extruder be purchased without a complete line?
Yes. It can be supplied as a stand-alone machine for an existing line or matched with mixing, conveying, drying, seasoning, cooling and packing equipment.
Can dies, cutters, voltage and screw configuration be customized?
Yes. These items are selected according to the formula, finished product, shape, capacity, destination voltage and existing factory conditions.
What information is required for extruder selection?
Provide the raw materials or formula categories, product photos, target shape and size, required hourly capacity, factory voltage and whether you need a single machine or complete line.
